Are you worrying about how to choose serial (RS-232/422/485) communication product vendor? Can we trust this vendor will provide support continuously? Will they support new driver for next new Windows and Linux? Are you still using ISA serial interface board? Are you still using Windows 2000 and DOS? Do you know your vendor may stop support for such old software and product?
If the vendor can give you some promise, I think you will have good sleep. Please see the statement.
